Explainable AI for prehospital care

Exploring how explainable AI can support understanding and trust when dynamic risk predictions are integrated into safety-critical healthcare systems.

An ambulance IT tablet showing a trauma patient's vital signs, with an AI decision support panel giving a 78% moderate-to-high risk prediction, the key factors behind it and a missing variable.

Public Transport & the Perception of Safety

Designing a multi-touchpoint safety-information system for Gothenburg’s public transport — connecting mobile, station and vehicle experiences to help passengers make more informed travel decisions.

The safety score across touchpoints: a station departure screen with coloured safety dots, the Västtrafik To Go app showing low, middle and high risk for each trip, a bus destination sign with a score dot, and stop displays.

02How I Think

I look for the structure inside complexity.

My work connects research, interaction design and service thinking. I use evidence to understand what is actually difficult, then shape the product, flow or system around what people need to do.

  1. 01 / Understand

Find the real source of friction.

  2. 02 / Connect

    See the experience across touchpoints.

  3. 03 / Clarify

    Turn complexity into usable structure.

03About

A designer interested in how people understand systems.

I’m a UX & Interaction Designer based in Gothenburg. My work spans research, interaction design, service design and complex systems.

I care about making experiences simple without making them simplistic — useful, accessible and purposeful, with enough character to feel human.

  1. 01

    Designing explainability into AI-supported decisions

    Published research
  2. 02

Service systems behind apparently simple interfaces

    Design thinking
